EPF Headquarters Completed, Set to Elevate Operations.
May 23, 2024
RSP Architects is proud to announce the completion of the new Employees Provident Fund (EPF) headquarters, Menara KWSP @ Kwasa Damansara, and its win in the Sustainable Development category at the Malaysia Property Award 2023. The project, which began construction on July 9, 2018, was completed on May 30, 2022, with a move-in date of June 1, 2022. The award reflects the project’s success in integrating sustainability into its core design, marking it as a landmark in the growing Kwasa Damansara township.
The design philosophy behind the EPF headquarters focuses on a balance of form, function, and aesthetics while emphasizing sustainability. The architecture prioritizes human-centered design with open-plan interiors that encourage collaboration and interaction. Photovoltaic solar panels on the rooftop provide renewable energy, and Double-Glazing Unit Glass panels for windows contribute to energy efficiency. The strategic use of natural lighting reduces energy consumption, and the building’s pedestrian and bicycle-friendly design promotes a healthier lifestyle.
The 250 acres allocated for green and open spaces in Kwasa Damansara give future residents access to nine lush parks, underlining the township’s commitment to sustainability. The building’s location within 94 acres of mixed-use development provides easy access to major highways and is close to two MRT stations. It has received GreenRE Platinum certification and incorporates smart building features such as smart booking, parking, retail, lighting, and facility management systems.
The Malaysia Property Award 2023 win in the Sustainable Development category underscores EPF’s and RSP Architects’ commitment to creating sustainable, efficient, and people-friendly designs. This award, along with the building’s ecological features and infrastructure, exemplifies Kwasa Damansara’s vision for a sustainable and modern urban landscape.
The completion of the EPF headquarters and its recognition by FIABCI Malaysia serve as milestones in the journey towards creating buildings that not only serve their operational purposes but also contribute positively to the environment and community. This modern office complex aims to elevate EPF’s operations while reinforcing Kwasa Damansara’s role as a model for sustainable urban development.
