Ar. Farid started his architectural journey at Washington State University in Pullman, Washington, graduating in 1989. With an impressive career spanning over more than 35 years, he has successfully established his expertise across a diverse range of projects. His portfolio encompasses a remarkable array of accomplishments including museums, mixed-use developments, corporate offices, residential blocks, as well as specialised aeronautical projects such as simulator buildings and budget terminals.

Nevertheless, Ar. Farid’s experience extends beyond his individual endeavours. For instance, he has successfully managed and overseen numerous commercial and residential projects, collaborating with a number of world-renowned architectural firms.

Notable collaborations include Foster & Partners for Platinum Park, Pelli Clarke Pelli for a mixed-use development at KLCC, Gensler, SOM for St. Regis Kuala Lumpur, Buro Ole Scheeren for a mixed-use development with UEM Sunrise, Tilke Gmbh & Co for Johor Bahru Racetrack, Populous Holdings Inc. for KL Sports City-Bukit Jalil Stadium, and most recently Fender Katsilidis Architects for the second tallest building in the world, Merdeka 118, where he is the Project Director.

He has also played an instrumental role in several of RSP Architects Kuala Lumpur’s projects, such as Serai Bukit Bandaraya Bangsar, MITEC, the Malaysian International Trade Exhibition Centre, Bank Islam Headquarters, and the new GreenRE platinum certified EPF Headquarters in KWASA Damansara. His next exciting venture is to complete the second phase of the Merdeka 118 development, which includes the West Podium and the West Residential Tower.
