Saminan is a seasoned landscape architect with over 33 years of professional experience, beginning his career in 1990. His extensive background spans various projects across Malaysia and the UAE, where he has been integral from design conception to project completion. Saminan’s journey in architecture started with a robust education, including formal training at Polytechnic, UiTM, and specialized studies in the UK, focusing on Conceptual Art, Urban Design, and Planning. His expertise is further enriched by his studies on Space Syntax in Urban Fabric Mapping, providing a comprehensive understanding of spatial dynamics in urban environments.
Throughout his career, Saminan has worked with numerous professional companies, contributing to a diverse range of projects such as the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC) ‘The Gate’, which he saw through to completion. His portfolio includes urban master planning, housing developments, public parks, commercial resorts, and public buildings, demonstrating his versatility in environmental design. Saminan is also well-versed in design competitions, report design, and guidelines, underpinned by his design philosophy that emphasizes the exploration of art and soul, functionality, and budget-conscious solutions that benefit all. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, drawing, and reading, reflecting his passion for continuous learning and creative exploration.
